Robotics and Automation for Every Industrial Challenge

BEC designs, integrates, and delivers complete robotic systems built around your production environment. This includes custom robot cells, AGV fleets, cleanroom automation, and the fleet management software that ties them together.

FABMOVER

FABMOVER

The FABMOVER from BEC Robotics is a cleanroom-certified AMR for semiconductor fabs that automates pod transport, cassette handling, and pod opening/closing. Based on the KUKA KMR iisy or KUKA KMR iiwa, it reduces manual handling, minimizes contamination, and increases efficiency in high-volume production.
Industrial Automation

Industrial Automation

We optimize manufacturing processes with custom industrial robotics applications. Our expertise ranges from factory automation and robotic milling to advanced robotic gripper development, hardware and software development, and AI vision systems.

AGV / AMR Platforms

AGV / AMR Platforms

Deployable in hours, our versatile mobile robots handle loads ranging from small pallets to heavy parts while working safely alongside people in manufacturing, warehouses, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.

Mobile Robots & Cobots

Mobile Robots & Cobots

With the mobile manipulators KUKA KMR CYBERTECH, KUKA KMR iiwa, and KUKA KMR iisy, as well as the mobile robot platforms MRP Quantec and MRP Iontec, BEC offers customized solutions for a wide range of industrial automation tasks.

From Concept to Commissioning

Every BEC project follows the same structured engineering process: concepts are validated before anything is built, and systems are tested before they leave our workshop.

01

Consultation & Requirements Analysis

We start by analysing your production environment: cycle times, payload requirements, integration constraints, and where the automation has to fit. That work defines the right approach before any design begins.

02

Custom Solution Design

Our engineers develop the system concept end-to-end. That includes robot selection, gripper design, safety layout, and software architecture. Everything is validated in 3D simulation before hardware is ordered.

03

Build, Test & Validate

The full system is built and tested at our facility. A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) verifies performance, safety compliance, and integration readiness before delivery.

04

On-site Integration & Training

We install and commission the system on your floor, integrate it with your existing production infrastructure, and train your team to run it day-to-day.

05

Ongoing Service & Support

BEC stays on after go-live. Maintenance, remote diagnostics, spare parts, and software updates are all available so the system keeps performing over its full operating life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our robotics systems, integration process, and project capabilities.

A fixed robot cell is ideal when one machine or process runs continuously and requires maximum cycle speed. A mobile manipulator or MRP is better when multiple machines need to be served, production volumes vary, or flexibility and scalability are priorities. BEC Robotics conducts a detailed feasibility assessment to recommend the right technology.

AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) is still one of the most widely used search terms for mobile robots. Traditionally, AGVs followed predefined routes using magnetic tape, reflectors or virtual paths. Today, industrial mobile robotics has largely evolved toward intelligent, autonomous vehicles known as AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots). AMRs use sensors and intelligent software to navigate independently, adapt to changing environments and optimise routes in real time. BEC develops autonomous mobile robotics based on AMR technology. In applications where autonomous LiDAR/SLAM navigation is not feasible, guided or path-based navigation can also be implemented as part of the solution.

BEC specialises in gradual, modular automation — starting with individual machines and line connections, then expanding step by step. Pre-commissioning and simulation allow most setup and testing to be completed before on-site installation, minimising production downtime and enabling seamless integration into existing production environments.

AI vision systems enable bin picking (picking randomly oriented parts), surface defect detection, dimensional inspection, barcode/label reading, and part identification. They allow robots to handle product variations and work with unstructured inputs that fixed sensors cannot manage.

CNC machine tending (loading/unloading parts), assembly line feeding, palletising and depalletising, conveyor transfer, inter-machine transport, and quality inspection stations all benefit significantly from mobile robotic platforms and autonomous material transport.

Primary cost drivers include:

  • Type and payload capacity of the robot(s) required

  • Level of system customisation (end effectors, AI vision, software)

  • Integration complexity with existing PLC, MES, ERP systems

  • Safety system requirements and risk assessment

  • Number of workstations, machines, and facility size

  • Commissioning, training, and after-sales support package.

AMRs automate material transport, eliminate manual forklift trips, reduce waiting times at machines, minimise transport errors, and operate 24/7 without fatigue. They improve material flow consistency, inventory accuracy, and warehouse throughput while reducing labour costs.

Yes. BEC robotic systems integrate with ERP, MES, WMS, and production planning platforms using industry-standard protocols such as OPC UA, REST APIs, and VDA5050 where applicable. While standard communication technologies are used, every integration is tailored to the customer's processes, data flows, and system architecture to ensure efficient and reliable operation.

BEC combines collaborative robots (cobots), safety-rated laser scanners, 3D vision systems, and intelligent safety controls to enable safe human-robot collaboration. Autonomous mobile robots continuously monitor their surroundings, reducing speed or stopping when people or obstacles enter defined safety zones. Every solution is designed in accordance with the applicable machinery directives and safety standards.

One robot on an MRP platform can serve multiple production cells in rotation. While the robot is working at one station, the AGV conducts the next task. This dramatically increases robot utilisation compared to fixed-cell robots that sit idle between production cycles.

Robotic automation takes over repetitive, physically demanding tasks like machine tending, material transport, and palletising, allowing employees to focus on higher-value activities. Operating 24/7, robots can also support production strategies by manufacturing high-volume standard parts during unmanned shifts, freeing daytime capacity for more complex tasks requiring skilled operators.

BEC Robotics offers customised service packages including preventive maintenance schedules, remote diagnostics, on-site service visits, emergency technical support, operator training, and software update management — all designed to maximise system uptime and service life.

BEC develops its own proprietary products — including the MRP, FABMOVER, exacure, and guidoo — and combines over 20 years of expertise in robotics, AI, machine vision, human-machine interaction, and complex manufacturing processes. By combining leading automation technologies with proprietary developments where required, BEC delivers tailored solutions for demanding production environments.
